Decorative bowl

3

A dainty decorative bowl with lid, feels light and fragile. Lovely design with no marks.

Vraag

I am wondering if this is a genuine Delft piece.

Your bowl with lid is new, made at 'Koninklijke Plateelbakkerij Zuid Holland' (1898-1964) in Gouda, also called PZH or Plazuid or KPZ. It seems as if a part has been applied by screen printing, is not certain, I doubt, it could also be that the bowl with lid was made before 1932, greetings jvdh.

Beste Jan,

thank you very much for your assessment and views on our decorative bowl. Very much appreciated. It has been passed on to my wife from her mother who sadly passed away this year. We will keep it it the family as it is a lovely reminder of my mother-in-law who always kept sweets in it for the grandchildren.

best wishes

Eugen

  • Hand-painted An important characteristic of authentic Delftware is that it is hand-painted. Printing techniques do not occur on this earthenware. Read more
