Verdict:

  • Not Delftware

Analysis:

  • Not made in Delft The term Delftware is only used for earthenware actually produced in Delft. Read more
  • More recent production technique After 1850, factories in and outside Holland developed more efficient and cheaper production techniques. This goes beyond the scope of this website. Read more
  • Mark of a non-Delft pottery/factory The typical Delftware also inspires producers outside of Delft, but genuine Delftware has only been produced in Delft. Read more

The mark belongs to NKI (Nederlansche Keramisch Inustrie) from Gouda and was founded in 1947. It is not Delftware and dates from the second half of the 20th century. However I love the swan and it matches your wallpaper perfectly. 😄

The crown on the vase is essentially different from the crown on the work of the N.K.I. (Joop Noordegraaf), this company did not start with ceramics in 1947 but in 1956. The vase with the hand-painted swan must have been made in another company, regards jvdh.''''
