Can someone help identify markings on the bottom of the jar? Specifically age of item and what this jar was used for.

The storage jar, which seems to have a cover of a different color by the way, was produced around 1900 as an imitation of the coveted Delftware from earlier centuries. The QV mark stand for Kunstaardewerkfabriek Quo-Vadis in the city of Gouda. Painter Franciscus Ignatius (Frans) Bijlaart (Nijmegen 1889 - 1970 Gouda) started producing in the late 1940's.
